ESTEPONA

Beaches, promenade and harbour
The Estepona coastline is over 23 kilometers long and offers a total of 17 beaches, most of which offer facilities such as changing rooms, showers, toilets, first aid equipment, facilities for the disabled, sun loungers, beach bars and leisure areas.
La Rada beach is a symbol of Estepona and has been awarded with the blue flag for several times for its hygienic health and environmental conditions. One of its biggest advantages is that it is just next to the main street.
Playa del Cristo forms a beautiful bay and is ideal for any season. This small 680 meters long beach has received a blue flag and is a fantastic beach for children.
Other beaches: La Galera, Bahia Dorada, Arroyo Vaquero, Costa Natura (Nudist beach), Guadalobon. Punta de la Plata, Punta Pinillos, El Padron, Del Castor, El Velerin, Playa Bella, Guadalmansa, El Saladillo, Casasola and Atalaya.
Paseo marítimo
A spacious, almost three-kilometer-long walkway that runs through La Playa de la Rada to the fishing port. There you can enjoy spectacular sunrises and sunsets.
The port of Estepona is a beautiful area where you can enjoy the seaworthy tradition, the magnificent sea view filled with boats and relaxed people who come looking for a suitable place to rest in one of the beautiful restaurants and shops.
Estepona is the main area of the municipality, surrounded by other large residential areas such as: Nueva Milla de Oro, Selwo, Cancelada, Atalaya, Costalita, El Saladillo, Diana Park, El Paraiso, El Padron, Bel Air and El Presidente.
Estepona has become one of the most tourist towns on the Costa del Sol. Its special location between the sea and the mountains offers the opportunity to enjoy a wide diversity of attractions in a small geographical area. Friends of green areas can enjoy the paths and excursions and find beautiful places as Sierra Bermeja, declared a nature reserve, where is located Paseo de Los Pinsapos and Pico de Los Reales, or San Isidro municipal park with a lot of forest paths.
Sport
Estepona offers the chance to practice all kinds of sports such as swimming, football, tennis and basketball or sea sports as sailing or scuba diving, as well as the most innovative ones such as kayaking, paragliding, horse riding in the sophisticated Escuela de Arte Ecuestre riding school or climbing in Selwo Aventura Nature Park or be in contact with nature while enjoying hiking and cycling trails.
Golf.- Estepona has optimal weather conditions for playing golf with an annual temperature of 19 ºC and the sun shines more than 325 days a year. Estepona’s golf courses stand out for their excellent quality and several degrees of difficulty.
Culture and leisure
The good weather allows many outdoor activities such as diving, to learn scuba diving, guided bike tours, paintball, karting or enjoy the equestrian world.
Selwo Aventura: in this zoo, wild animals in a semi-free space live in harmony with the environment. The living conditions of the different species have been simulated to resemble their natural habitat as much as possible. There you can see more than 2000 animals from more than 200 different species.
La Escuela de Arte Ecuestre on the Costa del Sol is one of the most significant and well-known equestrian centers in Spain and offers one of the most modern services in Europe. Its main goal is to promote the practice of equestrian sports among horse lovers.
Felipe VI Auditorium is the largest scenic space on the Costa del Sol. There is a main hall with capacity for 600 spectators and an adjoining hall with 100 seats more. There you can enjoy theater performances, concerts and other exhibitions.
Plaza de las Flores: Cozy and cheerful square in the old town where you can enjoy a drink or tapas. Worth a visit here!
Torres Almenaras: There are 7 lighthouse towers along the 23 km long Estepona coastline.
Parque Botánico-Orquidario: A total area of 16,230 m2, divided into 3 areas: an outdoor park, an entrance square with a large 17-meter-high waterfall and an orchid garden with more than 5.000 plants.
