FUENGIROLA
Welcome to the Villa Blanca, as the beautiful city of Fuengirola is historically known. An idyllic area on the coast of Málaga, Fuengirola has excellent transport links and a great geographical location, allowing visitors to enjoy beaches, restaurants, shops, train connections, etc. in the same area without the need to use a vehicle. Fuengirola area is flat, which is much appreciated for everyone, specially disabled people plus the spaciousness of its walkways and streets makes a delight to walk through.
Fuengirola is just 30 minutes from Marbella and Málaga, and 20 minutes from the prestigious Malaga-Costa del Sol International Airport. Fuengirola has direct train links to Benalmádena, Torremolinos and Málaga, and the train also stops at the airport.
The municipality of Fuengirola has 5 main areas: Fuengirola, Los Boliches, Los Pacos, Torreblanca and Carvajal.
Beaches and marina
The beaches of Fuengirola extend along the beach promenade (8 km long) which starts from the historic Sohail Castle to the beaches of Carvajal. There is a wide range of hotels, restaurants, beach bars and shops along the promenade.
Thanks to its water quality, the diversity of the sand and the constant maintenance, it has received a Q-value for tourism quality.
The marina is also located along the beach promenade. It has nice terraces and numerous restaurants. From the marina you can go to dolphin cruises, do water sports, diving, deep-sea fishing and its Club Náutico has excellent sailing teachers.
Sport
Fuengirola offers all kind of sports. There are two heated indoor pools, one of them same size than an Olympic pool, three football fields, two sport centers, tennis courts, paddle courts, sailing, equestrian centers, gyms, spas, Parque Fluvial and a skate park. For golf lovers, there are ten 18-hole golf courses just 10 minutes from Fuengirola centre.
Gastronomy
Fuengirola’s gastronomy setting suits every taste and budget, there are different restaurants categories and traditional tapas bars. This is the best place to enjoy Mediterranean cuisine and fried fish!
Culture
Sohail Castle: Built in the 10th century and located by the Fuengirola River. There are various cultural events, such as the famous Fuengirola Festival (which welcomes international artists every year), a medieval market and a beer festival. Fuengirola offers a wonderful cultural offer. The House of Culture organizes a wide range of exhibitions, concerts, dances, theater… just like courses and workshops every year.

Located in the heart of the city, BIOPARC FUENGIROLA: a set of tropical forests from África, Asia, the Indo-Pacific and Madagascar. This state-of-the-art zoo develops breeding programs of more than 40 endangered species and is classified as the most modern zoo in Europe, according to the prestigious National Geographic magazine.
Fuengirola is an ideal place for leisure and shopping. Its streets are full of shops. In addition, there are three markets, there is a large shopping center (Centro Comercial MIRAMAR) and two traditional markets are held every week, as well as one antique market.
