BENALMÁDENA
One of the main tourist destinations on the Costa del Sol. Located between the municipalities of Fuengirola and Torremolinos, Benalmádena is known for its excellent location, quality of life and leisure, including an amusement park (Tivoli World), two aquariums (Sea Life and Selwo Marina), a cable car with stunning views, a large city park (Parque de La Paloma), a casino and one of the largest marina in Andalusia.
Benalmádena has perfect train links directly to Fuengirola, Torremolinos and Málaga, and the train also stops at the prestigious Málaga-Costa del Sol International Airport.

For golf lovers, Benalmádena has over 40 golf courses within a 30 km distance. The most famous course in the area is the Torrequebrada´s Golf course, designed by the legendary Severiano Ballesteros and the first golf course on the Costa del Sol. The municipality of Benalmádena has 3 main areas: Benalmádena Costa, Arroyo de La Miel and Benalmádena Pueblo.
Benalmádena Costa
Shines with its excellent beaches and wide promenade. There you will find the famous and award-winning marina of Benalmádena, known as Puerto Marina. Beautiful and unique place with a wide range of restaurants, shops, leisure areas and the famous Sea Life Aquarium. Another of the most famous monuments in the area is the Bil-Bil Castle, now owned by the Benalmádena´s town hall. It is an Arabic-style building and it´s used as an exhibition space and for other cultural and social events. The building is surrounded by gardens with various sources of Muslim inspiration, which gives it a special beauty. Bil-Bil Castle is the public building where the most weddings are celebrated in the province of Málaga.
Castillo de Colomares: a monument tribute to Cristóbal Colón and the discovery of America. It was built between 1987-1994 and there you can see different architectural styles and materials, its interior is distinguished by its stained glass windows.
Casino Torrequebrada: opened in 1979 and located next to a five star hotel of the same name. It offers party rooms and performances. It is located next to the beach and short distance from Torrequebrada´s Golf course.
Arroyo de La Miel
Located between the coastal area (Benalmádena Costa) and the mountains (Benalmádena Pueblo). It is the Benalmádena old town.
Privileged location with all amenities close by. Just 10 minutes driving distance and 20 minutes by train from Málaga-Costa del Sol International Airport. There are many places in this area where you can enjoy all the brightness of Benalmádena:
Tivoli World theme park: There are mechanical attractions, shows (concerts and dances), restaurants and exhibitions. Ideal place for families and children.
Selwo Marina: marine animal park with the only dolphinariums and ice penguins in Andalusia. It is located in the Feria area of Arroyo de La Miel, next to Parque de La Paloma.
Cable car and the top of El Calamorro: this cable car connects the center of Arroyo de La Miel to the top of El Calamorro, 771 meters above sea level. From the top you can see the coast, the Mediterranean sea and on clear days even Gibraltar and África.
Parque de la Paloma: an area of 200,000 m2 consisting of lakes, green area and a pine forest. In this park you can see a variety of wildlife species such as ducks, swans, peacocks, chickens and rabbits. There are also a diversity of bars and cafés. It is close to the public library, the Feria area, the auditorium and Selwo Marina. This is an unique place to spend a day with family or friends in an idyllic environment.
Benalmádena Pueblo
Traditional Andalusian village of white houses, narrow cobbled streets and colorful flowers. There are numerous viewpoints with stunnig views.
Mariposario: the bigget space dedicated to the butterflies in Europe, with a size of 2000 square meters.
Estupa budista: inaugurated in 2003. It stands out for its golden dome and elevated position and can be seen from almost the entire coast of Benalmádena.
La Niña de Benalmádena: located in the middle of a fountain in Plaza de España. It is a bronze sculpture made by the renowned sculptor Jaime Pimentel.
